Security
is a form of protection from any harm. It applies to any unvaluable and
valuable assets, such as a person, community or nation in order to safeguard
something, one needs to have security for example security guard.
Security guard or security officer is a person who is paid to protect property,
assets or people. Security guards are usually privately and formally
employed ex-civilian. Their duties are to be the watchman to deter
illegal and inappropriate actions. There are several types of security
personnel such as “Public Security” which is a person employed at a place to
watch over the layman. “Private Patrol Officer”, is a person that
protects multiply client promises. In addition, “in-house” or
“proprietory” are organized to protect inside and out of a building and people
who surround it. For example, in a university. Lately security
guard in university are no longer called security guard, it know as police
assistance or “Polis Bantuan”. Their tasks are mostly to monitor over
student, traffic and building.
Firstly, the police assistance duty is to take care of the students. They
have to ensure that students follow the rules. For example is students
have to follow the dress code. They can’t wear a sexy type of
clothing. If they are stubborn to wear it, the police assistance will
give them summons. Next, they have to be in the hostel by 11 o’clock and
after 11 o’clock the police assistance will patrol to check around the café,
hostel and so on to make sure that they have gone back to their hostels.
So, students have to follow the rules to make sure the police assistance job’s
become smoother.
Secondly, the police assistance duty is to make sure the traffic become
smooth. For example, there are two types of stickers for those who want
to bring their own transport. One is for the student because they don’t
want to make the road become filled with car or motorcycle and they are new
here and they didn’t know more about road around the campus. So, the
rules that have been made is ascertain that our campus is in a safe conditions.
Thirdly, police assistance duty is to make sure that UiTM building’s is safe
from threat. They always patrol from morning until late night to make
sure that UiTM buildings are safe. Other than that, they do not allow just any
car from outside to enter UiTM as a precautionary measure. They also don’t
allow the new student to drive in the campus area because to be cautions
because they don’t want the new student to destroy the asset in the campus area
because they are still new at the campus. Other than that,police assistance
will make sure that all the buildings in the campus are safe by dividing the
police assistance to patrol and monitor all buildings quietly to make sure
there is no one to take advantage.
Give attention of the student, confirm the traffic become clear flow and
riskless from dangerous. All the students in the UiTM must follow the rule to
make police assistance job more easier because they have a lot of things to do
for our safety and fell secure staying at the campus. Therefore, police
assistance is one of important teams in the campus because they had been
trained by police and have a lot of experience and we must be thankful because
we have a police assistance in the campus.
